Synopsis

Presenter Barry Askew interviews Frank Taylor, Liverpool's Chief Fire Officer, in the control room of a fire station. Taylor discusses the need to bring fires under control quickly and how most house fires are caused by carelessness. Includes shots of firemen in training putting out an aircraft fire with foam and staff taking telephone calls in the control room.
