Synopsis

Programme focusing on two related stories. Opens with "Take Two" title sequence and music. A language expert is shown observing a five year-old Down Syndrome child, a child with learning difficulties is shown building blocks and parents are given advice. There is footage of a school for handicapped children: we see children in wheelchairs playing musical instruments, doing activities in a classroom and cooking and cleaning in a kitchen. There are shots of children with motor difficulties using typing aids, disabled children playing in a hall and doing woodwork. Closes with the children in wheelchairs performing a dance and singing in a nativity play.
