Synopsis

B107/1: Two separate items each approximately 5 minutes long. First we see the Charles Wootton Technology Centre in Liverpool, which offers Youth Training Schemes (YTS) for unemployed school leavers. There are shots of youngsters being trained in typing, word processing and electronics, as well as interviews with the manager and several students. Then presenter Mike Sweeney visits the Crawford Art Centre in Liverpool for young people from Merseyside and there are shots of youngsters trying out dance, art, drama and music classes.
