Synopsis

The first of three programmes in the Race Relations Series. Interview with biologist Doctor Dobbin who has been researching with colleagues in Manchester into the development of the human brain. Dobbin describes how environmental factors can modify the brain's development but dispels the notion that inherited factors such as ethnic group dictate physical characteristics of the brain.
