Synopsis

Third programme in the series Lancashire Lads. A series of light-hearted Lancashire rhymes written by writer and dialect poet Ammon Wrigley from Saddleworth (1861-1946) are spoken with a strong Lancashire accent. Various images that represent Lancashire are shown alongside the spoke poetry: aerial shots of rugged moorland in the Saddleworth area, people in a local pub and pints of real ale being poured. A Lancashire themed evening at a pub is shown: people dressed in traditional Lancashire attire sing songs related to Lancashire.
