Synopsis

Frank Mellor looks at two aspects of country life. He interviews rabbit breeder Peggy Marsden at her farm in Hale Barns, Cheshire. Marsden speaks about rearing rabbits for the table and there are shots of rabbits in cages. Mellor then goes to a peat moss near Whitbarrow in South Cumbria, where Jim Whetton has cut peat for years. Mellor interviews him about peat extraction and Whetton is shown cutting and drying peat turves.
