Synopsis

Programme profiling 26 year-old Welshman Alan Evans, a professional darts player. Evans is shown playing in a Liverpool nightclub, in an international match against Great Britain and beating Albert Abbey-Brown. Internationals Leighton Rees and Heywood's Billy Lennard (England's Vice Captain) are shown at the News of the World Championship and there are shots of spectators cheering and drinking pints. Evans is also seen at the Stockport sports trophy-making firm of which he owns half, being driven in his Jaguar and at the Midland Hotel, Stockport, where he is based. Other darts players featured include female World Champion Jean Dickinson, Irish International Pat Mullins, ex-World Master Cliff Inglis and youngster Tony Ridler. Includes Landlord of the Midland Hotel Martin O'Sullivan talking about the large number of top-class darts players in the Stockport area, an interview with Jean Evans, Alan's wife, and shots of Alan Evans at Silver Scissors hairdressers.
