Synopsis

Opens with general shots of aeroplanes at Manchester, Blackpool and Liverpool airports. A male presenter takes an Air Ecosse flight to Barrow from Manchester. He describes the extension at Manchester Airport and speaks to passengers about why they're flying. He interviews Barrow's Airport Manager Bob Foot, fireman Lee Roberts who is based at Barrow Airfield, businessman Harry Barker, John Granger, who manages Barrow's 'Grange Travel', and Barrow's Chief Planning Officer Bernard Beckett, who speaks about the need for improved communications at Barrow Airport.
