Synopsis |
Three strands on aspects of country life in the North West. Frank Mellor goes to a honey-making operation in the Lune Valley, where he is shown by owner Ted Humphries, bees making honey in bee hives and honey being bottled and packaged in a factory. Mellor then visits Martin Robinson, a vegetable grower who describes how he grows giant onions and runner beans both for exhibition and for the table and Mellor looks round his greenhouses and allotments. Finally Mellor returns to Raven Rock farm near Wycoller in East Lancashire, where young couple Gus and June Moody bought a farm a year earlier, and he asks them what has changed (original item B15). |
