Synopsis

Programme about a group of young deafblind people on holiday in Blackpool. Philip, Angela, Julia, Raymond and Lesley - who all have varying levels of deafness and blindness - are each introduced and the programme follows their activities during the weekend. There are shots of them riding donkeys on Blackpool beach, dancing at a disco at Blackpool Deaf Club, roller skating and cycling. Includes interviews with each of the young people and their helpers, including some of them communicating using the deafblind manual alphabet. Derek, organiser of the fellowship that runs such outings, emphasises the youngsters' individual characters, the importance of bringing them together and of involving them in society.
