Synopsis

Brian Redhead provides the voice-over to this extract about water in the North West. Broadrayne Wear Hatchery (near Grasmere?) is shown, and North West Water Authority employees are seen stripping a salmon of her eggs. North West Water Authority Chairman Peter Liddell defends rising water charges and admits standards in the North West are lower than elsewhere in the country. Includes scenes of countryside streams and rivers, rain, a kettle being filled, a child and dog drinking water, a car wash and a water processing plant.
