Synopsis

Programme three in the series. A day in the life of fashion buyer Libby Pluck. The film opens with Libby playing squash and then a montage of shots of clothes and shoes are shown. She is seen leaving her flat in Liverpool city centre and walking to work at a department store. There are close-ups of jewellery on display. The film follows Libby travelling to a large factory in Solihull where she places orders with salesmen for jewellery and handbags. The making of costume jewellery from lead and tin is shown in the factory. Libby gives a presentation to store managers. Libby's colleague, Liz Hurton, a clothes buyer for the store, is shown examining clothes. The store's head buyer talks to the presenter. The film ends with Libby and Liz discussing clothes, jewellery and handbags as modelled by two girls.
