Synopsis

B40/1: Opens with "Free Speech" series title sequence and music. A young man speaks about his opposition to security guards. A district nurse and Carol Lake, a member of the 'Society for the Rescue of Destitute Animals' based in Macclesfield, talk about pets left behind after slum clearance and there are shots of bulldozers knocking down houses and abandoned dogs and cats. We see a mother with her baby talking about how adopted individuals should receive help from local authorities to track down their parents. A man speaks about his resistance to the Common Market and urges Edward Heath for a referendum. A woman from the 'Women Drivers' Association' talks about impatient male drivers. 07m38s
