Synopsis

Brief film focusing on the architecture of the village of Port Sunlight, Merseyside, which was built by Lord William Hesketh Lever in 1888 to house employees at his soap factory, Levers. There are numerous shots of the houses in tudor and other styles and surrounding gardens. Lever's grandson, now an old man, talks about how his grandfather built the village and how Unilever have modernised it in the 1970s. There are shots of the Lady Lever Art Gallery within the village and various paintings within.
