Synopsis

Three separate items each approximately 5 minutes long. Presenter Mike Sweeney visits the "Grand Canyon" Youth Centre being built in the high unemployment town of Hattersley, Manchester, by local children. There are shots of the building being built, children painting murals, and interviews with the organisers and some children. The second item involves Sweeney interviewing runner Vince Reegan in Heaton Park about the benefits of running and includes shots of various joggers in Sefton Park, Liverpool. The third item features interviews with Neil James, a fifteen year old pigeon fancier from Cheadle Hulme and Fred Bale, who has kept pigeons for 50 years and includes various shots of pigeons.
