Synopsis

A female presenter joins Richard Wordsworth, great great grandson of William Wordsworth, in Hawkshead, Cumbria, and they describe William's childhood there. There are general views of Hawkshead village, church, grammar school, Ann Tyson's cottage (where William lived whilst attending school), Esthwaite Water and the surrounding countryside and Richard reads some of William's poetry.
