Synopsis

Four separate items each approximately 5 minutes long. The first item is on the Young Explorers Trust, an organisation which has taken youngsters on expeditions abroad since 1972. An organiser and youngsters from Liverpool are interviewed about an expedition to the Sahara desert in Africa and there are stills of the trip. The second item features a dance course in Liverpool, part of the Government's Youth Opportunities Programme. Young girls are seen ballet and disco dancing and Alistair Kennedy, a dance teacher, is interviewed. The third item shows students on a mechanics course working on a car. The fourth item features a "cyclocross" event (off-road cycling): cyclists are shown racing around a very muddy off-road course and several cyclists are interviewed, including the winner.
