Synopsis

Barry Askew is seen in the studio introducing several items, but most of the items themselves are not shown (black and white). A colour insert then follows featuring Gyles Brandreth visiting Nelson looking for evidence of romance. He is shown at Nelson Public Library, where he interviews staff and customers about romantic fiction, and in a park, where he interviews a young couple about whether Northerners are romantic. He then meets Nora Halstead, writer of romantic fiction, and she reads an extract from her novel.
