Synopsis |
John Wardle, Director of the North West Tourist Board, reports from the Board's Headquarters near Bolton, on the twelve million visitors that come to the North West each year (some picture missing). Blackpool is highlighted as the centre of North West tourism and there are shots of the Pleasure Beach, fairground, illuminations and seafront. Stuart Riley, Tourism Researcher at Lancaster University, reports on the failing tourist industry in Morecambe due to a lack of investment. There are shots of an empty Morecambe funfair, swimming pool and beach. Also includes shots of Southport beach, shopping centre, Flower Show and golf course and the countryside in the Trough of Bowland. Includes opening title sequence (some picture missing). |
