Synopsis

Programme one in the series, opens with titles for The Hall Collection. Stuart Hall visits Liverpool Museum and talks to Alan __, Curator, who recounts Merseyside's pottery-making history in the 18th and 19th centuries and describes several pieces in the collection. We then see Hall's personal collection of grandfather and carriage clocks in his home in Glossop. His young children Daniel and Francesca are seen winding up the clocks.
