B24/1: Extract from a programme about Trade Union leader and Britain's Chief Engineer Hugh Scanlon (1913-2004). Includes details about Scanlon's childhood in Manchester, his job at the Metro-Vickers engineering plant at Trafford Park and his active membership of the Amalgamated Engineering Union (AEU).
