Synopsis

Frank Mellor visits four different farmers in the North West: Peter and Christine Birchall who took on Waterhouse Farm near Kendal with no experience, Chris Watmoor who runs a profitable turf-growing farm at Preston Brook in Cheshire, Dutchman Herman Lenders who farms beansprouts in Astley in Greater Manchester, and James and Frankie Posnett who breed heavy horses at Holme Farm in Norley, Cheshire. There are shots of a pig with a litter of piglets, sheep being fed, fields being ploughed and turf being cut, beansprouts being cleaned and packaged, Shire and Clydesdale horses in fields and a newly-born foal in a stable. 31m10s
