Synopsis

Features a Radio One Roadshow at Haydock Racecourse near Newton-le-Willows. Engineers are shown setting up equipment and the crowd of 30,000 are seen arriving. Disc Jockeys Bruno Brookes, Peter Powell and Gary Davies take part. There are interviews with Powell on stage, the Organiser and the Sound Supervisor. Fairground rides and fast food stalls are shown. Captain Sensible is introduced by Brookes whilst on a fairground ride. The band Spandau Ballet arrive by helicopter and are seen waving to the screaming crowd. There is a shot of a motorbike display involving Gary Davies and women in fancy dress.
