Synopsis

A selection of pieces to camera by members of the public. Begins with brief, mute 'teasers' of what is on the programme. A mother sits on a swing with her two toddlers and highlights the lack of nursery facilities for under-5s in Stalybridge. She goes on to suggest schools could open in the evenings as youth clubs for 9 to 14 year olds. A man urges the Labour Council in Wythenshawe to reverse its sales ban on council houses to tenants. There are shots of a council house which has been bought and personalised by its owners, on Maltby Road, Wythenshawe. An elderly man tells of his puzzlement over the money spent on elaborate advertising campaigns by the coal board, electricity board and gas council. A woman is shown entering the Roxy Cinema, (Hollinwood or Stretford?), Manchester and questions the necessity of local councillors banning films such as 'Straw Dogs' which have already been given a certificate by the British Board of Film Classification. An elderly man urges people to visit senior citizens in our community.
