Synopsis

Film addressing the issue of housing in inner city Liverpool. Opens with shots of terraces at Anfield packed full of Liverpool Football Club fans. There are then (mute) general views of blocks of high rise flats in Liverpool, adults and children near the flats and graffiti on walls. The exterior of a sheltered housing building, Highfield Court in Liverpool, is shown and we see elderly residents eating dinner and the interior of an elderly man's room. Canning Street in Liverpool is shown. A spokesman from Liverpool Housing Association is interviewed about how, in the last five years, old housing in Liverpool has been bought by the Association and converted into 15,000 self-contained flats for elderly people and families. Several residents discuss the merits of moving into Housing Association accommodation. A house interior is shown and women with toddlers briefly discuss food and cooking. There are general views of Edinburgh Tower flats in Liverpool.
