Synopsis

B110/1: Two separate items each approximately 5 minutes long. In the first item we see a one-week "PHAB" course at Borwick Hall (near Carnforth). The course involves unemployed able-bodied people working with physically disabled people on arts, crafts and drama projects. Various people are interviewed who are extremely positive about the course. There are shots of them making Christmas decorations, painting, rehearsing a Christmas production and having a tea party. The second item shows Presenter Mike Sweeney meeting Shirley Strong and other athletes in a park and being shown how to do hill sprints. Includes various shots of runners sprinting up hills and a coach timing them. 10m37s
