Synopsis

Film following David ? and a presenter as they visit tourist spots in Lancashire. The pair are seen walking near Lake Coniston and there are shots of mountains and fishermen. David talks about his scheme to encourage people from Lancashire towns to escape to the Lancashire countryside for cheap holidays, rather than going abroad. They visit Carnforth's "Steam Town" where we see various steam engines. The pair then visit Smithills Hall Museum in Bolton as an example of a free corporation-run attraction. David gives tips on saving money on holiday and mentions Heaton Park, Platt Fields and Helmshore Museum. Film ends with a brief "Free Speech" title.
