Synopsis

This programme, from the series about people struggling for success, focuses on an approved school near Windermere which houses forty young delinquent boys from the North West for three months at a time. The boys are shown participating in activities such as canoeing, camping, rock climbing, sailing and cross country running as well as in maths and art and craft lessons. There are interviews with teachers who describe how the boys benefit from their stay. Several boys are interviewed and they speak about how they have changed and their intentions to stay out of trouble. (Brief footage of Liverpool band 'Our Kid' at end.)
