Synopsis |
B42/1: Programme containing two separate stories. The first opens with a presenter next to a road in Poulton-le-Fylde in Lancashire. He interviews an elderly couple, the Allertons, who are refusing to pay their council tax bill because the Council won't provide a footpath outside their home, which means the disabled Mr Allerton is housebound. The presenter interviews a council representative who confirms the couple will face bailiffs. The second story opens with two men speaking to an elderly audience about preparing for retirement. Various elderly people give their opinions about retiring. A woman talks to a group about the importance of keeping busy while elderly people make chairs and knit behind her. 08m09s |
