Synopsis

Opens with Now Look Here title sequence and music. Item focuses on the issues of job satisfaction and motivation in the workforce and various examples of workplaces are shown. Bob Davies, a harpsichord-maker, is shown in his studio in Levens, Cumbria and he talks about the satisfaction he gets from seeing a finished product. At the Rolls Royce factory in Crewe, Works Manager Ian Nelson speaks of promoting Foremen to management to raise motivation and Works Convenor Harold Jones claims good pay prevents boredom. At the Premium Bond Record Office in St. Annes a female office worker speaks of her love of the job, despite its repetitive nature. At a clothing manufacturer, employees are shown sewing and ironing and Manager Myron Ackerman speaks of the importance of challenging staff.
