HANG IT!/CURTAIN'S UP!

Two adverts for Rufflette products: 1) Honor Blackman ("The Wife") and Jimmy Hanley ("The Husband") are discussing curtain problems with a friend. Flashbacks reveal the mess that Jimmy made of hanging them through conventional methods, but the crisis was solved by a neighbour who advises the use of Rufflette products. 2) Terry Thomas is accosted in his bungalow by a policewoman who threatens him with a breach of the peace charge. She has observed him larking about in his underwear in front of the window, his antics revealed by his faulty curtains. The day is saved when the WPC advises him to use Rufflette curtain products.

Short film in which children make a 'Guy' effigy for bonfire night. They stuff a sack with newspapers, place on a head and dress the figure in a hat and coat. The children collect money from passers by on the street, buy a box of fireworks and head off down an alley to make a bonfire. The film ends with scenes from a royal visit to Liverpool Town Hall. The film opens with scenes from a wedding, the opening titles are only partly visible but it appears to be 'Annette and Gordon's Big Day'. We see the newlyweds and their guests outside posing for photos, they all look like they are having fun and they lark about. We also see them sat formally to eat at the reception. The next title reads 'Part 1 of The Bandit' and miscellaneous scenes follow of family and friends having fun in the countryside. There are shots of two little dogs playing and a group of people playing tennis. There are fun scenes where older people and a young boy play on swings and a group of adults play on a roundabout and one flies off. There is a lot of messing about, they wear cowboy hats and sombreros and play fight in the grass and a man runs off with a lady in a wheelbarrow.
