Various scenes of the Behrens family on holiday in Ireland; 1930. Includes shots of Mr and Mrs Behrens sitting in a garden with another couple of women. They are seen laughing and smiling - Mr Behrens tries to kiss his wife in front of the camera; she resists and he ends up pushing her away. Further scenes include a man standing up in the middle of a rowing boat, rocking it from side to side. The passengers, a small group of adults and children, stand close by on a rocky shore.

Film of a visit by the Lord Mayor of Manchester, Robert Noton Barclay, his Lady Mayoress and various Aldermen to Mezieres - the French town adopted by Manchester in 1920 - 31 May 1930. The delegation from Manchester meet Dr Bridoux, Mayor of Mezieres, and the city's 'godparents' M. and Mme Bonnert are present at the inauguration of a hospital and the laying of a wreath to commemorate the war dead. A crowd is in attendance including various civic groups such as fire fighters. The film closes with shots of Mezieres' prominent buildings including its cathedral and Town Hall.
