A rider grooms their horse, "Sir Roland," trains in the stables and then takes him for a trot, jumping logs and fences at Readwood, Burnley. Large crowds gather with their cars, bet, and watch as jockeys race. After the race, jockeys dismount and give autographs. Dressage riders perform with their horses at the Chatsworth Horse trials, in Bakewell, Derbyshire. Horses and their riders perform jumps in a narrow pond.
