Begins with Martie a golden Labrador 'greeting' a black Labrador. Next we see the black Labrador with puppies, all black except one. Martie meets the pups. The rest of the film includes another dog gently placing a baby rabbit with own puppies, an blackbird on a windowsill and Martie showing an interest in an owl chick sitting in the hollow of a tree trunk. We see Martie with a gosling on the lawn and a blue tit in its nest. Finally Martie is seen eating from a dish and retrieving objects in the house including shoes and a newspaper for his master. Martie then 'watches' TV.

Tim playing on a hobby horse then a pedal car before getting into the family car. Mark, Tim and mother rock-pooling in Wales then views from a steam train journey. On the beach at Abersoch, Mark and Tim play fight and then onboard a sailing boat with dad.

A steam rally held at Burtonwood Airfield near Warrington on 13 July 1974 with various vehicles driving past the camera including traction engines, vintage cars, vans and buses. Brief shots of a carousel, musical organs, miniature railway and funfair rides. At the Runcorn Steam Day on 14 July 1974, we see steam traction engines, steam rollers, musical organs and children riding on a miniature railway. The film ends with a parade of vintage cars, buses and vans followed by a brass band and dancing majorettes on 11 June 1977.
