He is seen ariving at the C.L.D.C. offices and then visiting new houses at Moss Side, where he chats with children. The official party proceeds to Astley Park Community Centre for a press conference. Peter Shore is seen delivering a speech and fielding questions before leaving.

Bellways managing director Mr Bell, is seen making some introductory remarks before Sir Frank Pearson, Chairman of the Central Lancashire Development Corporation delivers a speech and declares the houses open. The crowd tour the homes, the film closes with a shot of the street.
