Mark plays with a big pile of new toys and we see the family after Christmas dinner, relaxing at the table, smoking and drinking tea and sherry. We also see Mark pretending to make calls on the family telephone. The family go on holiday abroad. We see views of the local landmarks and of the family sat in historical ruins feeding the pigeons. There are also scenes from Kathy's christening and the party at home afterwards. We see both children at home with members of the extending family, including at Christmas. There are scenes from the match and from a reception event afterwards with food and drink. We see a horse drawn cart leaving the brewery and delivering beer to local Whitbread pubs. Crowds of spectators come out to watch. There is a Whitbread tent at a horse racing event. There is a bar in the tent and people sit down to eat. A promotional Whitbread float takes part in a procession in Speke. Whitbread have a stall on the carnival field and the Mayor is shown how to pull a pint. There are scenes from the Whitbread Trophy Northern Golf Tournament. We see scenes from the game and the event afterwards where there are speeches and trophies are presented. We also see footage of the building of houses for Whitbread West Pennines Ltd. The film ends with an assortment of brief scenes, one of which may be of a field of hops. | |||
