The film explains the way computers process information using binary language (and illustrates this with experiments and animation), demonstrated numerous applications of computers (health, finance, travel, education) and goes into some detail about how they actually work. It also strongly recommends an intelligent approach to the information fed into computer systems. A variety of different machines are seen in operation, and the film is interspersed with interviews with both computer experts and ordinary members of the public on the streets of London.
