THE WIZARD; THE SWOT'S REVENGE; BOY IN THE BIN

Three short dramas featuring children from St Austins School. In the first, a bullied schoolgirl takes revenge by using spells in a book, "The Wizard of Boland", to turn the boys into a tortoise and a pigeon. Next, a young girl gets back at her bullies by taking a photograph of them gambling in the schoolyard and showing it to the teacher. Finally, a mischievous boy steals some toys, is chased by the other children, captured and put into a bin; the bin men come to empty it but the boy has escaped. THE STRANGE EVENT; THE CHARM; THE MAGIC FLUTE

Three short amateur dramas featuring children from St Austins School. In the first, some boys find a crystal ball during a game of cricket, which summons a monster who chases them around. The second film has two children who find a magic rabbit's foot that causes time to stop, much to their amusement. And in the final film, a pair of children find a magic flute which, when played, causes people to dance, including an elderly woman with a walking stick. There are scenes of builders doing varying construction jobs and playing cards on their break. The houses, which are still under construction, are covered in snow. We also see shots of the incomplete interiors.

Sue and Rod Pashley's wedding 13th of June 1970. Wedding guests, bridesmaids, bride and father arrive at the church. During the wedding reception, the newly married couple cut the wedding cake. Later the wedding party pose for photographs outside. The Bride and Groom depart in a decorated car. Later in the film the family have a picnic followed by a visit to Chester Zoo where they see various animals and visit a fairground.

Farming and family scenes from the Heyes Family of Mossborough Hall Farm in Rainford, St. Helens. We see scenes from the farm, tractors and other farm machinery, vegetable harvesting and farm animals. We see a horse giving birth to her foal. The family wave Mr and Mrs Heyes off on a train and we then see Mrs Heyes outside Buckingham Palace and laughing and chatting with the policemen outside 10 Downing Street as she poses for the camera. We then see her again on a boat leaving Dover, and then arriving on the continent. We see scenes of Cologne from a moving vehicle. Mr and Mrs Heyes go sightseeing in the city and then they visit a farm and inspect the cattle. They take a trip down the Rhine and we see them in a small town, Mrs Heyes points out the bullet holes in the walls of a building. We see family events, a wedding, a Golden Wedding Anniversary party and an 80th Birthday party. We see the family pulling crackers, carving the turkey and eating their Christmas dinner. There are family scenes, they go camping and have picnics and visit the Rainford Carnival 29th August 1970. We see a piano smashing competition at a county fair, and Mr Heyes fishing with his sons, and there are scenes of horse riding. A lady poses with a hunting rifle and mounted stags head.
