Footage of a Slingsby Falcon 1 Glider modified to take off from the water, 1943. The film begins with the sea plane being wheeled out of the warehouse and inspected by a group on the lake side. This cuts to scenic wide shots of the vessel on the water with the surrounding landscape of the Lake District; we then see the plane taking off from the water and flying low before landing back down. |
