Description |
Fictional comic story about a layabout husband (the narrator) and his wife who live in a slum. She aspires to live a better life in a bigger house. His attempts to persuade banks and building societies to lend him money end in failure so he turns to acts of crime to solve his problem, culminating in a bank robbery with his wife acting as an accomplice. However, as they are about to set off to start their new life the suitcase containing the stolen money is pinched. Dejected, they return to their terraced home only to discover it has been demolished. |
