Description |
A record of the visit by HM the Queen and HRH Duke of Edinburgh to Teeside on 4th June 1956. The film features the Royal Party arriving at Stockton railway station. They drive through the streets and meet selected towns people. At Stockton Racecourse the 1st Battalion of the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment march on to the course and are inspected by the Queen. Includes shots of the Queen making a speech and signing the visitors book. Concludes with the Royal Party's visit to ICI Wilton and their return to the Royal Yacht Britannia anchored at Tees Port. |
