Description |
A title card reads 'I Saw It Happen' - we then see a wedding invite to the wedding of Marion Peacock (daughter of Sir Peter Peacock) and Mr Thomas Lever on the 6th of June 1942. Crowds gather to watch as guests can be seen arriving at Bold Street Methodist Church in Warrington, some men can be seen in military uniform. Bridesmaids arrive soon followed by the bride and her father. After the service, the newlyweds pose for photographs on the church steps. The film cuts to guests arriving at St Wilfrid's Church in Grappenhall for the wedding of Greta Mary Hatton and Thomas Allen. The bride and her father arrive together and have photographs taken. After the service, the couple exit the church and make their way to the car while guests throw confetti on them. |
