Scenes shot in Ordsall, Salford, with children playing and shots of derelict and occupied terraced houses on the same street. Other footage includes land cleared for construction of tower blocks, passersby on a terraced street, boys fighting and playing amongst abandoned furniture and scenes of pets. The docks are glimpsed, and later there are scenes of bales of cotton being unloaded, the trailers from container lorries stacked on the deck, and a car being lowered by crane into the hold. Other shots show crates from the Middle East. The final section shows scenes in a Salford Park and shots of a Salford University hall of residence.
