Description |
Film looking at the work of geriatric departments which are having to deal with increasing numbers of elderly people and their needs. Patients are seen being assessed at home, at doctors' surgeries and clinics, as well as receiving treatment in hospital. Patients receive occupational and physiotherapy, new false teeth and limbs are fitted, and eye tests and dietary advice are given with a view to them either returning home or moving into new accommodation. Staff meetings to discuss and monitor the progress of patients are also featured. |
