Description

The Workington Amateur Operatic Society's 60th Anniversary production of Gilbert and Sullivan's 'Patience' in March 1966. After opening shots of the exterior of the Carnegie Theatre there are scenes inside the male and female dressing rooms as the performers prepare before making their way onstage. A technician brings up the lights and a dress rehearsal takes place in front of the producer, who is then interviewed as the performance continues. Society member Norman Wise is also interviewed in the wings and the film ends with two singers on stage.
