Description

Film featuring a variety of different community and family events. There is footage of Sermons days, a family trip to Scarborough and 'Ladies Visit to Elswick', a garden party, weddings and the opening of Horwich Library by Councillor J. Carr. The Lee Sermons Day, Independent Methodist Sermons and St Catherines Sermons all feature - processions, including marching bands and various local groups are seen. The weddings - featuring shots before and after the ceremonies - feature Mr R Openshaw and Ms M Keenliside and Mr N Holden and Miss E Lever. The garden party - at Mrs Fearnhead's house includes children's races and a women's sack race.
