Description |
Festival of Britain celebrations in the borough of Colne. After shots of dancing and sports races, a woman 'plays the bones'. The festival queen is chosen at the Municipal Hall before a parade heads through the main street and on to Alkincoats Park. Several fun games and events follow, including a performance by the Savoy Entertainers and a display by local firefighters. The film ends with a night-time firework display and torchlight procession. |
