Description

Letterpress printing work at W. E. Lord & Co. in Earlestown, Lancashire. Ernest Lord enters his office and answers the phone before setting up and operating a Heidelberg Printing Machine. There are close up shots of the machine at work. Mr Lord and his daughter Barbara proofread a flyer for the Warrington Photographic Society and a guillotine is used to trim reams of paper. Concludes with lead being melted down and poured into ingots in preparation for re-use.
