Description

Film documenting King George V royal visit to Macclesfield in 1926. The procession starts with police officers followed by a silver band passing down a street with crowds gathered on either side. Many of the crowd are carrying umbrellas due to the bad weather. A number of bands follow as well as officials, firefighters and police officers in ceremonial dress, one of whom was Henry Sheasby Chief Constable of Macclesfield.
