Description

A selection of drama sketches by the boys in class 1 at the Major Lester CP School in Liverpool. Several short stories are shown which usually involves the boys dressing up as pirates and cowboys and indians, as well as playing various different sports. The first sketch shows a boy being sent off from a football match, with his team going on to win a trophy. The boy then steals the trophy from the headmasters office, and is eventually caught and reprimanded. The next story involves the boys day-dreaming about pirates, with the following sketch showing a boy cheating to win a boxing match and the prize money, only for his deception to be discovered in the end. The fourth story shows a jealous classmate stealing the pen from another boy, only to be chased and finally pushed in the lake with the pen being retrieved. Following that is a story of a child in the class who cannot win at any sporting competitions, but beats all of his fellow classmates in a pie-eating competition. Finally, the last story shows the boys playing at cowboys and indians.
